Jackson Hearing Center
Philosophy
Jackson Hearing Center is an auditory/oral program serving hearing impaired children in the Bay Area from preschool through high school. Our philosophy emphasizes learning to talk by maximizing auditory skills. The major components of the program include: speech, language and auditory training. We serve children with hearing losses ranging from mild to profound. All of the children have cochlear implants or wear hearing aids.Staff
The Jackson Hearing Center Staff consists of highly trained professionals, who are specialists in the auditory/oral method. Teachers continually update their knowledge on teaching techniques, amplification, cochlear implants, and technology. Each class has a full time experienced, instructional aide, trained to work with the children in the special day class or mainstreamed class. The internationally recognized Jackson Hearing Center has been awarded the Alexander Graham Bell Association's prestigious Centennial Award as an outstanding auditory/oral program.Contacts
